At McDonald Footcare, we care about your feet
Podiatrists are health professionals who are fully trained to diagnose, manage and treat foot and lower limb conditions. A Podiatrist may also be more commonly known as a Chiropodist. These professional titles can only be used by individuals who meet strict standards of care and are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
What do we treat?
We offer a wide range of professional podiatry treatments and services which includes the following:
- Routine treatment of nails and removal of hard skin
- Corn removal
- Verrucae advice and treatment
- Fungal nails, ingrown and problematic nails
- Nail surgery under Local Anaesthetic
- Biomechanical assessments
- Orthotics (prescription insoles) / insole supply
- Management of health related foot problems
- Footwear / Footcare advice
- Home visits by arrangement (see below)
Your initial appointment
We pride ourselves on providing treatment tailored to your personal needs to ensure that we are caring for "your feet". During you initial consultation our podiatrists gather all the necessary information, including your medical history, to form an ongoing treatment plan and address any concerns that you may have regarding your foot health.
Home visits
We may not be possible for some patients to physically visit our clinic for treatment. A home visit can often be arranged where your treatment will be carried out in the comfort of your own home. Please give us a call to discuss your requirements. As our home visiting appointments are limited, we do keep them for those patients who are housebound.
Foot care products
We stock a variety of foot care products, which have been carefully selected by our podiatrist to complement your treatments and enhance your general foot health. Our podiatrist is always happy to give you advice about which products would be most suitable for you.
Gift vouchers
Treatment vouchers are available to purchase in both of our clinics so get in touch if you would like us to arrange this for you. These can be made out for a specific value and can be used by existing or new patients when attending their appointment.
