About McDonald Footcare

The practice was established by Lynn McDonald in 2009 when she proudly opened the doors of the West Calder clinic. Lynn worked independently within the clinic at that point and as it continued to grow she took on her first associate podiatrist in 2014 to cope with the increasing demand for services. In 2015, the addition of the Mid Calder clinic allowed her to offer podiatry services in two separate locations within West Lothian. The continued growth of the practice has resulted in her team growing to include further Associate Podiatrists and receptionists. 

About our Podiatrists

At McDonald Footcare all of our podiatrists are degree qualified, fully insured and registered with the HCPC. They regularly update their skills and knowledge by carrying out continued professional development. This ensures that the care they provide is based on current techniques and health based evidence.

Lynn McDonald (Owner / Podiatrist)

Lynn qualified from Queen Margaret University in 2007 with a BSc Podiatry (with distinction) and has always worked within Private Practice. Lynn enjoys having a hands-on approach within both practices which she combines with the management duties which are involved with running the clinics. She enjoys all elements involved with assessing, diagnosing and treating problems associated with the feet and lower limbs. Lynn understands that every patient is unique and it is her aim to provide patients with high quality care which is individually tailored to their needs. Lynn is registered with the HCPC and is also a member of the College of Podiatry. 
Lynn is available at: West Calder (Wednesdays & Thursdays) & Mid Calder (Mondays & Tuesdays)

Our Receptionists: Margot, Sheena and Anne

We have 3 receptionists who all work between the 2 clinics on a part-time basis. Our receptionists always have access to the diaries for both clinics when on duty. This allows them to check current availability and book you an appointment in whichever location suits you best. It may not always be possible to answer your call straight away so we have an answer machine service which is checked regularly. Please leave a message and one of our receptionists shall call you back as soon as they can. You can call either of our phone numbers to book an appointment as our phones are always diverted to where our receptionist is based so that they can deal with your call or message in a timely manner.
